Shocked, I know!

Well, a friend guilted me into to posting an update. We are so busy and everytime we try to catch up on the phone, somebody is screaming, crying or just driving us nuts. I know all of you with small children understand what I am talking about.

So, Mackenzie just turned 2 and she was so happy to have a weekend all about her. She is spoiled rotten and knows how to get her way. She is so different than Luke. Looking back, I ralize how calm Luke was as a toddler. She is so funny and tough. Matt is convinced she will beat Luke up before long. She has started climbing out of her crib so we will be changing the crib into a toddler bed this weekend. She will be so happy. I always see her sneaking into Luke's bed! She has grown up so fast, it makes me wonder about having another...even though I think we are done.

Luke loves preschool and I am so happy that we put him in this year. It is so expensive here in Plano, but I think he is getting a lot out of it and he knows it is something special that he gets to do. He has also made some great new friends. He class is mostly boys and very high energy. Those poor teachers. I am starting to evaluate if we should start him in Kinder next year or wait another year. Such a hard choice. I think Matt wants to start him but I am leaning the other way. I just want to give him every advantage I can and growing up always being the youngest in my class tugs at my heart.

I am still training for my marathon. I have about 6 weeks left of training. I have had a really bad week and the lack of training has me stressed out. I know I am okay, I just want to tock it. Last Saturday I ran 20 miles just over 3 hours. (My goal is a 4 hour marathon). Sadly, I haven't run since. I am hoping for a nice long run tomight to make up and then get back on track Saturday. I am training with Luke's Locker and really like it. My only issue is it seems like we have been training forever since it is a 6 month training group. My head coach just moved back to Atlanta so I will miss him and all his motivation. (He is an ultramarathoner and knows his stuff) On top of my running, I started playing volleyball in a league in Allen with Tracee (Cole) and Christie (Clarkson). It is so much fun and it is nice to finally start doing some things for me.

Those last couple of things you mentioned about running and playing volleyball are just one of the reasons why we are done having babies! I need to start doing things for myself again, and now that Tyler is getting older, you have motivated me to pursue that even more! I am so glad you updated. You said it in your first paragraph about never being able to talk on the phone, and that is one of the reasons why I blog. I would never be able to tell anybody anything because I can't talk on the dang phone! It keeps me, and my friends, plugged in, and doesn't take much energy. In other words Kish, keep blogging!
