Well, Luke had his dentist appointment this morning. Surprising he went in and handle it like a champ. Last time we went they told us to begin talking with him about eliminating his thumb sucking. That in itself is a pain in my butt. I tried and we stayed on him. His mouth hasn't gotten any better, more than likely due to night time sucking. They told me to order a thumb guard. I was thinking it was $20-$30 bucks. WRONG...$70 plus shipping. I plan on ordering it, but let me tell you now...I will be pissed if it doesn't work. I am also a little disappointed that all the doctors claim thumbsucking is no big deal until they are 5. Dentist believe 3-4 thumb sucking should be given up. It is so hard for him, and I will be bracing myself for long nights with little sleep.

Uh oh. Crap. I saw one in One Step Ahead and it WAS expensive. I bet it will work though, but yeah I'd brace myself like you said. Although I was surprised how quickly Austin got over the pacifier...it was about 2 rough nights and that was it. GOOD LUCK!
Please let me know if your expensive thumb guard works :) I have a serious thumb sucker too.
